The 10th Beavers Remember

Posted on

Despite the rain 11 beavers, 2 young leaders & Amber the dog joined the 10th Beavers for their remembrance walk which was lead by scout leader Gordon.

They walked from the Gourock gardens at the library over to the cenotaph. Once at the cenotaph Gordon discussed remembrance, war, poppies and why we remember.

The beavers then looked for the 2 scout wreaths that were placed on remembrance Sunday before having their own 2 minutes silence.

After this, they walked the long way back to do a bit of train spotting and get out of the rain.

They arrived in the station just in time to see the train to Glasgow about to leave, so they counted down to the whistle going, to set the train off.

The beavers enjoyed their walk despite the extremely wet weather.

A big thanks to the young leaders for their help and to Gordon for giving up his free evening to help the beavers remember.
