8 Explorer Scout Young Leaders from across Greenock and District recently took part in the West Region Young Leader Training Camp at South Newton.
Over the course of the weekend the Young Leaders covered all the training modules of the Young Leader Scheme. They learned about important topics including safeguarding, leadership, risk assessment, programme planning and first aid.
The Young Leaders left camp equipped with the skills to become part of the leadership teams of their local Squirrel, Beaver, Cub and Scout sections, and with the aim of completing the scheme and earning their Young Leader Belt Buckle.
