New Squirrel Drey Joins in at 85th Group Camp

The 85th Greenock and District Scout Group have been busy over the last couple of weeks. Their annual fun packed Group Camp was held at Everton at the weekend.

They had lots of activities including crate climbing, tomahawk throwing, bushcraft & firelighting. A huge thank you to the Glasgow Science Centre for running their workshops on the day.

Their newly formed Squirrel Drey, which has been a great success, also took part in the camp for the first time. The Squirrels particularly enjoyed taking part in the grass sledging.

Leaders from the Squirrel, Beaver, Cub and Scouts also gave up their time to take part in the recent Glasgow Kiltwalk Mighty Stride raising funds for the Group. They achieved a total well over their target and thank everyone who supported them.

Their Beavers and Cubs also took part in The Big Clyde Beach Clean. They joined in the community litter-pick event in Inverkip village & surrounding area and had a successful day helping to collect litter.

If anyone is interested in joining the 85th Group then drop them a message on our Facebook page “85th Greenock and District Scout Group.
