The 85th Scouts have had a busy first week of December. A group of them attended an Astronomer Badge course kindly run by the Inverclyde Skywatchers Astronomy Group. So far they have been learning about some of the main constellations and facts about the night sky, and have made their own telescopes to use at home.
This was followed by a presentation by Alfie Ingram from Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance giving a fascinating insight into the workings of the air ambulance service in our country.
At the weekend some of the Scouts gave up their time to help Inverclyde Foodbank at their food collection at Tesco Greenock.
A huge thanks to Inverclyde Skywatchers, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, Inverclyde Foodbank and customers and staff at Tesco Greenock for the time and help that they have given to our Scouts.
