A few weeks ago an American Scout Leader was in touch with 5th Scout group hoping to arrange to meet some of them while they were touring Scotland.
A team from the group met up with Richard and Catherine and took them up to show them Everton Scout Campsite.
They exchanged badges with one another and are now looking forward to building on their new friendship.
They hope that Scouts from both countries can become friends and learn about Scouting in the other country.
Scouting really is a worldwide family.
